Mission Statement

About Us

Together, as the Matthew J. Kuss community, we will create a supportive environment where students will demonstrate their willingness to be lifelong learners through their effort and achievement. Our students will be contributing members of the community and be ready for high school.

Things we need for a successful start to the 2026-207 School Year

1. Spirit Wear - Tops should be blue, white, or gray. Bottoms should be navy, black, tan, or gray. Visit our Spirit Wear page for our Back to School Sale and guidelines.

2. Binder - Students will need one 2 or 3inch ring binder that has pockets on the inside.

3. Pocket Folders - Students will need 6 two-pocket folders that have holes for the three- ring binder.

Flier that shows students will need to wear spirit wear, have a 3 ring binder and 6 folders for the start of the school year.

One of the enrichments offered in the Durfee Summer Enrichment Program is Environmental Science! Students in these classes are getting hands-on experience exploring the connections between plants, animals, and the environment. From growing their own vegetables in the greenhouse and under specialized grow lights to learning about fish and caring for classroom aquariums, students are discovering how ecosystems work while developing valuable science skills.
